This is by far one of my favorite drinks! I always feel so guilty when I order a frappuccino (aka a milkshake disguised) so I decided to come up with my own blended chai (blended with ice). You can add whip cream if you want but it is so delicious on its own! I think the best tasting chai out there is the Trader Joes Spicy Chai Mix (link below). It comes in a powder and you can make your own concentrate with it.
Makes: 2 Servings
7oz Hot Water
4 Tbs of Chai Mix
2 Pumps of DaVinci Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup
12 oz of skim milk
13 ice cubes (or as many as you like to get to desired consistency)
Pinch of Cinnamon
Whip Cream (optional)
Heat up water and mix chai powder until dissolved.
Blend Concentrate, Milk, Ice, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Syrup. Add more ice if you want it to be like a smoothie. You can play with the measurements to get a stronger chai taste if you want. I personally like a hint of chai but I don't want it to be overpowering.
Pour in glass and add whip cream and a dash of cinnamon on the top.
You can also add other flavors to- I have tried Pumpkin and it was delicious!
