Welcome to my bird stencil wall DIY post! This wall is my master bedroom accent wall and I just love how it came out. I wanted to share the ideas behind it and the steps to execute. First, I came across this stencil below and it gave me the inspiration to use a bird stencil I already had in my storage. I wanted to have a cluster of them in the corner to then spread out randomly.
I started by stenciling a bunch of birds in the corner going random directions. I applied various pressure so the gold would be heavier in some areas. I also added painters tape markers to layout where I wanted the birds to go. This was helpful in figuring out how much space to put in between them to reach the desired effect.
I love how this bird stencil accent wall came out! You can do a design like this on any dark wall and it is so much fun to do free hand. It really takes no time at all. The total project time for this was 1 hour. You only do one coat since you are working with a stencil. Subscribe below for more exciting projects like this one!
